I remember vividly growing up as a child just like it was yesterday. My family always lived in the city on the east side ,in predominately-black neighborhoods all our life. The houses were big three story row houses. The neighborhoods were very friendly and everyone respected each other.Children were taught to respect their elders and parents corrected their children. There were groceries stores on every corner, and the milkman delivered milk and eggs at your door. Everything that you needed was in your neighborhood except clothing and shoe stores.
Among my memories too!
